My boys their Easter hats!

I've always had a thing for the hats our grandparents used to wear, especially cute on little boys!  These hats challenged my skill a bit, but they turned out okay minus a few errors:o)

Can I say A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E?

Check out this little 6 month old cutie pie!  Joni (www.lastingimpressionsbyjoni.com) told me she had a 6 month old boy coming in for photos and so I thought, "I need to use this small amount of blue yarn I have left, and maybe a brown trim, and maybe ears with brown at the center."  Little did I know he'd have the most gorgeous blue eyes complimented by a matching blue hat.  I love how this all comes about!

Preemie hats!

Way excited to know if these work out or not.  My co-worker has a little baby boy, a preemie.  You can't see how small these hats are, but they are sooooo tiny.  I now have fun baby gifts to give!  Love crochet!

One more change and I think it will work!

So, I gave this brim hat a try.  It was a little snug, but I think that can be changed for the better simply by leaving sl st round out.  I just love this color combo.  By the way, for little boys, this would be cute with a wooden button on it instead of a flower.  What can I say?  Creating brings me joy!

I couldn't wait any longer!

Okay, so I was planning on waiting until my new nephew was born so that I could use him as my model for quite a few new boy styles I've made.....but I can't wait!  I figured it would hurt to show just one:o)  However, I am imagining this one with a little pink in it as well....or any color for that matter!

Aww, yes, the diaper cover experiment!

Yep, I've seen these on Etsy and decided to go for it, making my "flower bottoms" diaper cover with headband and no idea what I was doing.  Making it up as I went along, all it needs are a few adjustments (it was too big) and I think I have something cute:o)  Photography: www.lastingimpressionsbyjoni.com

Zebra Sassy Chunky Beanie

Now this is one of my favorites.  I know that animal print is popular for ladies these days and I decided to create an animal print looking style.  After looking all over for a yarn that would end up looking like an animal print, I had to resort to combinations.  I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking a leopard combo of brown and black might look stylish too.  Many thanks to our next door neighbors for allowing me to borrow their sweet baby girl as a hat model--too adorable!

Girl Owl Hat

I love the color combination with this hat.  I was playing around with making this thicker by crocheting two strands together, but it's almost too thick of a texture for a newborn.  Eventually I'll get around to trying a soft already chunky yarn to see if it's "thicker" but not as heavy feeling.  It's never ending when getting to create and that's exciting for me!

Fuzzy bear hat

Boys, boys, boys!

April has come and soon I will have a new little nephew to show some of my new boy hats.  Plus, my own little cuties will wear their new hats too.  I can't wait to have more pics to share--I'm very excited about doing more boy stuff!  To be continued.....
My infant headbands never turn out the same it seems.....other than the different colors, different yarn can really change things up--still cute though!

Basic Newborn Beanie

Welcoming spring with lighter colors and little white flower--way cute when used as a photo prop:o)
