I had the honor of making 4 special Hello Kitty Hats....my friend couldn't wait until Christmas to give them to her daughter and niece! Hoping to see all four Hello Kitty hats on the four lucky girls together in one photo. We'll see, I'll post if it happens!

More Cute Pics from Joni
Joni told me that this little lady had trouble staying asleep during her photo shoot so the pacifier had to stay in. I think it's fun that it matches the headband, hehe. This is one of my favorite headbands with the color combo.
Awwww, yes, my first attempt at a sleeping owl. I love mixing different textures of yarn for a more whimsical, dreamy sort of look. One of my favorite owl hat creations!
This is probably my most favorite out of all my "favorites". Simple bear hat design, could be done in any color or I even thought about making it with a detachable bow in case we didn't know if it was a boy or girl yet. Hats off to Joni Bollenbacher (www.lastingimpressionsbyjoni.com) the photographer, thank you for sharing your pics with me!
No need to describe how cute this boy owl hat pic is!

3 fun items I wanted to share!
Above is sort of a "Whimsical Striped" hat. The pigtails have become a favorite of mine to add to girl hats. The tassels at the bottom of the ear flaps are the best for not getting stuck to velcro on kids coats.
Ahhhh, at last, I've finally taken a pic of the popular head wraps I've been seeing. There is a button in the back.
And of course, I will always love creating owl hats. Here's another new color combo for a little girl.

My Cute Crocheted Scalloped Edges Hat
Thank you to this little doll's mommy for requesting a style I've never made before, but always wanted to have a reason to try! I made this pattern up on my own, so happy to see that it fit great....and this little girl knows how to model it doesn't she? PRECIOUS! (Thanks AGAIN Joni for sharing your photography! www.lastingimpressionsbyjoni.com)

Two Teamed Spirit Crocheted Football Helmet Hat
This was fun.....my friend (the mom) is an Irish fan, but her husband (the dad) is a Purdue fan. Well, what to do. I know! Instead of making two separate hats, why not combine two teams into one cute football helmet hat? Oh, and one more thing, "Go Irish!"
Colts Inspired Crocheted Old fashioned Brim Hat
This was fun to make because I'm
really not into the Colts blue color.
So I figured this would work and be
rather cute for a boy. This is
one of my favorites, they all
look so stink'n cute in this hat style!

Making Skull and Crossbones Hat Cute, Topped Off with a Mohawk
Okay, well, I'm not impressed with the photo of this particular hat, but I finished it late at night and couldn't resist adding it to my blog! The only information I was given is that an expectant mom and dad-to-be are "hard core rockers". So, this is what I created for their little baby boy due in January....skull and crossbones done as sweetly as I could (the button eyes are my favorite) all topped off with a mohawk. I figured out how to make the skull, crossbones, and mohawk all on my own, no pattern, and I'm super happy with how it turned out. This is going to make a great baby gift!
Textured Brim Beanie
Love this taupe color and combined with pink.....one of my favorite color combos. Did I mention I love yarn? :o)
Debuting my scalloped edges textured beanie!
I got a request to make a hat with scalloped edges. Well, after looking all over the place for free patterns and trying a few patterns that just didn't make sense.....I came up with my own. I envisioned it to be textured, dainty, and sweet. (Once again, I didn't write the pattern down--my trademark, lol!) I've never done a cluster of little roses like this, with leaves, but that's what it called for in my heart. I love this hat, but I just know it will be way cuter on a precious newborn.
Sweet Sleepy Girl Owl Hat
This was a fun one for me. I've always wanted to attempt a sleepy owl hat and with pigtails too! I always visioned the combination of soft fuzzy type yarn w/ regular worsted yarn.....the two different textures adds a different dimension. Can't wait to see this on the baby girl it was specially made for!

Tiny Elephant Hat
Oh my goodness sakes! I almost didn't even make this hat because this little guy's mommy was getting too closer to her due date.....sooooo glad I decided to surprise her with my interpretation of an elephant hat. Sorry to those who'd like to request this pattern--I totally winged it, making it up as I went with trial and error:o(
Tooth Fairy Pouch....for all the possible dilemmas she might face!
Okay, so this cute little tooth fairy "pouch" was created for my son Noah. He literally "lost" his 1st tooth and swallowed his 2nd tooth at school during lunch. This pouch was custom made to have a larger pocket to place a dollar or a note from the child to the Tooth Fairy or vice versa ("Dear Tooth Fairy, I accidentally swallowed my tooth..."). And then there is a smaller pocket behind the white tooth appliqué where the tooth can be placed or a coin. This was also created to be placed over his door knob....in order to not lose the pouch during the night and to help the Tooth Fairy to be extra super sneaky! Let me just say this, not only did my son love this, but I bet the Tooth Fairy had fun with it too;o) It's definitely got my mind thinking though....maybe a monkey tooth fairy pouch, or angry birds, or....the list goes on, lol!

Owl hats....my fav to make
I am waiting to see this on the newborn boy it was custom made for. No problem for me to get carried away with all kinds of color combinations <happy sigh>. What can I say, I love yarn, there's just something about it that gets my heart ticking. And it's always more fun when new mom's make special requests for a child they've not met yet. Can't wait to post the babe in the hat, soon I hope!

Crazy about sock monkey hats.....
I just can't get enough of these cute monkey hats, especially when used as a photo prop. I just love creating and would love an excuse to experiment with more color variations. Wish I had done this a long time ago for my boys when they were babies.....or maybe I would've gotten a little carried away!

Crocheted Newborn Headbands
I just love making newborn headbands....mixing colors together, some flowers, some bows, it makes me smile:o) Also made for the Children's Hope House Boutique--hope they sell for this good cause!
IU, Purdue, and Irish Inspired Newborn Hats
This was a labor of love for me, but a fun one! I was asked if I'd be willing to help by making "Indiana team inspired" newborn ear flap hats for a local baby boutique that gives 100% of the proceeds to the Children's Hope House. Very happy the way they all turned out. Each one is a different design, which is how I roll! Hope people like them, great for newborn photo props too!

My Stylish Crocheted Headbands
I saw a 3 stranded headband and thought, "I have to try it!" I ended up making this without a pattern......after enough trial and error, it's a perfect fit! Full of style AND comfortable!
This little bow headband was fun to make. I didn't realize how much nicer it would look on. Big thanks to Lydia for being my model!

MY FIRST COW HAT--MooRific!
Okay, so this cow hat was a request by my photographer friend Joni. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I managed to make it without a pattern.....a lot of trial and errors, but I did it. I couldn't believe how much more adorable it would be on a sweet child. This little model is precious and SHE makes the hat look cute!
Another brimmed beanie!
This brimmed beanie is becoming my favorite for boys of any size. It just speaks, "I'm cool, but cute too." I'm hoping to make some girl flavored brimmed beanies to put on here as well. I just love contributing to photography.
Thank you Lasting Impressions Photography by Joni Bollenbacher! Always appreciate it when my items are used as props. I feel so blessed.
