Side View of Cherry Blossom Pixie Hat

Newborn "Little Grandpa" Hat

I really don't know what to call this hat, but it definitely reminds me of something our grandfathers wore back in the day.  Of course, this style is coming back, it's "fashionable"--so for a newborn, I'm thinking "Why not?"  The side view is cute with this hat on also.  This just makes me sigh with delight.  So precious.  Nicely done, hats off to the photographer (www.lastingimpressionsbyjoni.com)!

Half Strap Hat with Wooden Button

This one came about because I literally didn't feel like attaching an entire strap with two buttons at each side.  So my laziness actually produced something I think is pretty cute.  It looks like a little adjustable strap, topped off with a cute wooden button.  Love this new boy brimmed hat, amazing how a little strap and button can change the looks of something from simple adorable to more adorable.  Nicole--Your photo is beautiful, THANK YOU!  www.portraitsbynicole.com

Purple Butterfly Hat with Sparkle

Okay, now this little butterfly hat was done with one of my favorite yarns, "Sheepish".  I like that you can see the detail with this one verses the other cute one with the angel hair yarn.  Isn't it amazing how different the design looks with different yarn?  I just love this style, and what little girl couldn't use a little sparkle in her life??  Beautiful photo, thank you Portraits by Nicole!  www.portraitsbynicole.com

Little Pixie Hat

My first glimpse of the pixie hat on a newborn....so cute.  What you can't see is the detail I have on the sides, hand sewn branches with deep pink cherry blossoms.  I've received feedback that a lot of my new designs I've tried are a tad bit big.  Ready to make some adjustments for those super tiny "days old" newborn heads. A huge thank you to Portraits by Nicole in Payne, OH.  Love this one, beautiful!  www.portraitsbynicole.com

Just a sneak peak;o)

I am simply thrilled.  Currently I am working on a project...it involves lots of headbands for all different sizes and designs involving new patterns that I am coming up with all on my own!  I just might even post a pattern for one of my new creations on down the road once I've perfected writing it out (right now, they are written in ways that only I understand, lol!)  Once I'm finished with hair accessories, then some freedom and fun will begin with making a variety of different items....from tooth fairy pouches, iPod cozies, boy and girl baby through child sized hats, to fashion wristlets, to coffee mug cozies, to.....well, the list is endless!  Can you tell I'm excited?  Please check out my blog frequently.....I know that I'll be having some new newborn pics coming in soon with new designs that I am very proud of and THE SUSPENSE of seeing them being used as photo props by my talented photography friends is KILLING ME!!  Well, you get the point.  I'm an eager beaver:o)  So blessed with all the opportunities of sharing my creative side, it fills me with joy.  Okay, until the next pic comes in, take care!

Wintery Butterfly Turbin Hat

I wanted to try this "turbin" hat design in an angel hair yarn for a more "wintery" soft look.  Believe it or not, the sparkling jewel in the front was a leftover from my figure skating past!
Captured by Lasting Impressions Photography--thanks Joni Bollenbacher!
